CUPIDITY

CUPIDITY
1.      Title: Cupidity
a.       Before
If we look this title, we can conclude that this story will tell about someone have cupidity in this life.
b.      After
After reading the story, we can find out that Cupidity is a name of a cupid that helped Laura Sweeney found a boyfriend.
2.      Point of View
a.       The story use the third person
b.      Dramatic point of view
1)      In fact, Cupidity was a deadly shot, and she peppered  her targets on the old bale of hay. Her arrows weren’t always bull’s-eyes, but she was in the general vicinity, unlike the rest of them, who kept sailing arrows into the bushes. After every round, Cupidity carefully collected her spent arrows, and Laura got the impression that they were as rare as her bow. (page 70).
2)      Without warning, two paintballers jumped out of the shadows  and fired a barrage of colorful orbs at cupidity. A paintball caught Laura in the shoulder and splattered purple paint on her glasses. Cupidity tried to dodge the attack, but there was no place to run-several messy shots found their mark. (page 71)

3.      Dramatic Conflict
a.       Psychological Conflict
Laura Sweeney experience internal conflict because she having a really awful nightmare. At moment later, it was real. She couldn’t see who someone loved (Peter Yarmench) together with Megan. Laura aware if she loved Peter. So, she afraid if Peter didn’t with her. She really want a boyfriend.
b.      Social Conflict
Because Cupidity shot bow and arrow wrong target, so that’s all sorts of chaos that maked all people wrapped her problem. The Goddesses met about Laura’s problem and they will helped her.
